About

More Than a Gardening Club

The Chino Hills Gardening Club is a community of neighbors who share a love for growing things. What began as a handful of local gardeners swapping tips and cuttings has grown into a welcoming home for anyone in Chino Hills who wants to dig in, learn something new, and make a few friends along the way.

Throughout the year, members gather for hands-on workshops, seasonal plant swaps, and community events that celebrate every stage of the growing season. Whether you're a lifelong green thumb or just planted your first tomato, you'll find down-to-earth local gardening knowledge and a friendly face ready to help.

Beyond the soil, we're here for each other. Our club is built on friendship, encouragement, and the simple joy of supporting fellow gardeners as we grow, together.

Hi, I'm Taylor! I'm a lifelong Chino Hills local, and I started the Chino Hills Gardening Club in June 2024.

Growing things has always been part of my family's story. My great-grandfather once owned orange groves in Duarte, and long after selling them, he still kept avocado trees and garden beds thriving. My parents carried that on with small gardens of their own while I was growing up.

My own gardening journey began in 2022. I was inspired by the idea of living closer to the land: growing my own food and feeling more connected to the earth. One season turned into another, and before long, I was hooked.

Along the way, I learned that Chino Hills is a climate all its own. Advice that works elsewhere doesn't always work here, and the best tips usually come from neighbors who have figured out what thrives in our soil and our seasons. I wanted a place where we could share that local know-how, and I wanted people to grow with.

So I started this club to bring neighbors together to swap plants and seeds, trade tips, learn from one another, and build real friendships. It's for everyone, whether you've been gardening for decades or you're just getting started.

I'm so glad you found us, and I can't wait to grow with you.
